A press release said that a lecture for Telepark business building employees and parents was organized along with workshops on child Internet safety viewed online by more than 500 pupils in 3 elementary schools in November and December 2024. It said leaflets were handed out with advice from educator Katarina Jonev on how to use the Internet for homework and discussions with friends, parents and teachers.

Jonev is quoted as saying that the fight for a safe Internet is everyone’s battle because of a responsibility towards the children growing up in a digital age to secure access to true information and show them how to benefit from its use.

SBB recalled that it has been providing Internet services for more than 23 years, that it was the first to bring in broadband and raised access speeds every year. “For that reason, SBB is continuing to educate users and employees about the numerous possibilities the Internet brings and ways to make it safe for everyone,” the press release said.

“Modeled on leading global Internet providers, we went a step further 4 years ago and presented the Connect application for safe home Internet and child control online. Education for elementary school pupils is just a logical next step in our efforts to educate them further and openly talk about Internet addiction,” SBB PR chief Iva Gajic said.

SBB won the ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and PCI DSS certificates, confirming its leading position in the data protection in IT security industry.
