September sees drop in average salary

According to RZS data, the average net salary in August was 96,649 dinars.

The average gross salary in September 2024 stood at 132,783 dinars, said the RZS.

“Increase of gross salaries and wages, and net salaries and wages, in the period January-September 2024, relative to the same period last year amounted to 14.5 percent in nominal terms, i.e. 9.3 percent in real terms,” said the Office.

Compared with the same month last year, the average salary (gross and net) for September 2024 increased by 13 percent in nominal terms and by 8.4 percent in real terms.

The median net salary for September 2024 amounted to 75,117 dinars, meaning that 50 percent of employees realized salaries up to the mentioned amount.
