Representatives of over 80 states, who attended the Ukraine peace summit in Switzerland, signed a declaration saying that Ukraine’s “territorial integrity” is the basis for a peace agreement that would end the war. Serbia is among the signatories of the document.

The joint declaration ended the two-day summit that was not attended by Russia.

BRICS countries, which are close to Moscow, did not sign the document, with Mexico, Indonesia and Thailand also among those that withheld their signatures, the Swiss media reported.

The Swiss broadcasting corporation (RTS) reported that the final declaration was signed by 85 states and institutions out of roughly one hundred delegations that took part in the summit held at the Burgenstock resort, near Lucerne.

The signatories of the declaration, including Serbia, believe that reaching peace requires “the involvement of and dialogue between all parties.”

Serbia was represented at the summit by Foreign Affairs Minister Marko Djuric.
