“While Kurti’s ethnonationalist regime hastily points fingers at Serbia without evidence, we believe such premature accusations are a deliberate diversion, potentially suggesting the involvement of Albin Kurti’s administration,” Djuric asserted.

He criticized the unfounded claims as harmful to constructive dialogue and accused Kosovo authorities of exacerbating tensions in an already fragile environment.

Djurich also highlighted Serbia’s willingness to assist in repairing the damaged canal, both financially and technically.

“We call on all parties to resist provocations and prioritize dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation. Serbia remains committed to peace, stability, and collaboration as the foundation for a prosperous and united future in the Balkans,” he said.

The explosion, which occurred late Friday in the village of Varage, caused significant damage to the Ibar-Lepenac canal. As a result, water supplies were disrupted, and electricity in Gracanica and surrounding areas was temporarily cut off due to related damage.

Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, accused Serbia of orchestrating the attack, escalating tensions between Pristina and Belgrade. The incident has intensified calls for international mediation to address the growing divide in the region.
