Serbia fails to align itself with three new EU foreign policy decisions

As the EU announced, Serbia failed to align with the decisions (CFSP) 2026/18501, (CFSP) 2026/18371 and (CFSP)2026/18361 of July 24.

The first two decisions concern Iran directly, while the third concerns Iran’s military support to Russia and to armed groups and entities in the Middle East and the Red Sea region, as well as Iran’s actions undermining freedom of navigation in the Middle East.

All other EU candidate countries of the Western Balkans -North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina – have aligned themselves with these three new EU decisions.

Those countries will ensure that their national policies conform to the new decisions, and the EU takes note of this commitment and welcomes it, it said in a press release.
