Serbia joins sanctions against DR Congo

The candidate countries North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Republic of Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, have joined the sanctions against the Democratic Republic of the Congo, said the Council of the European Union (EU).

The countries will ensure that their national policies conform to EU Council decisions.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it, said the EU Council in a press release.
