Serbia offers firefighting helicopters to Israel

Serbia is set to send firefighting helicopters to Israel to help deal with forest fires, the Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) said on Thursday.
The press release said that Internal Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic acted under an order from President Aleksandar Vucic and offered Israel help in tackling the fires in the area around Jerusalem.
The MUP helicopter unit has prepared 2 Kamov Ka-32 and one Super Puma H-215 helicopters capable of carrying up to 5 tons of water for deployment to Israel. The press release said the helicopter unit is set to move as soon as the Israelis give the word.
Dacic is quoted as saying that the MUP is in constant communication with the Israelis who “have expressed gratitude to Serbia for the offered help”.
