Serbia’s President, Aleksandar Vucic, said that Finance Minister Sinisa Mali signed an agreement with the United Arab Emirates according to which Serbia will receive a loan of one billion dollars, with three percent interest.

"In January, we have old loan obligations that we have to pay back, and we have to buy a lot of gas and electricity," Vucic said, adding that the state provides full liquidity and solvency with that money.

During his visit to Abu Dhabi, Vucic met with Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed, and he also said that when Serbia is in trouble, it can always rely on the Emirates.
