A response team of 416 firefighters with 180 vehicles, seven members of the Interior Ministry’s Helicopter Unit, and 15 specialists from civil protection units, along with numerous volunteer firefighters, foresters, and local residents, has been mobilized.

Thanks to the efforts of the Emergency Situations Sector, major fires in the Pcinj District and in the Nisava District have been extinguished.

Fires in the municipalities of Priboj, Kosjeric and Kucevo, those near the cities of Pirot and Bor, and fires in Beocin and Mosna have been contained and are currently being put out.

In the Sjenica municipality, where about 100 hectares of coniferous forest are burning, the difficult terrain and shifting winds have made firefighting challenging, so a helicopter has been deployed.
