The Serbian Agriculture Ministry has invited offers for software for its eAgrar platform, the eKapija portal said on Thursday.

The Ministry wants to develop the platform for online registration for more than 400,000 farming households. The platform is also intended to provide efficient management of financial stimulation payments for the agricultural industry and for rural development.

“The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Serbian Competitive Agriculture Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract Software Solution for eAgrar (Software solution for Farm register upgraded with DMS and possibility for processing three national measures from direct payments),” the ministry invitation for bids in the international tender said and added that the software is the first major step in creating an integrated administration and control system.

The international tender is open to February 22.
