The Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) said on Wednesday that the European Commission had increased import quotas for certain types of steel from Serbia.

The European Commission divided the quotas allocated to Russia and Belarus to other steel exporters.

“We believe that Serbian steel producing companies will benefit from the change of European Union regulations,” PKS official Bojan Stanic said. He recalled that Serbian steel industry exports to the EU have been limited by quotas for several years despite a free trade agreement.
