The statement said that Obradovic was intercepted in the center of Kula, at around 7 pm, while collecting signatures for the participation in the local elections of the group of citizens „Kriticna masa za pobedu („Critical Mass for Victory“).
„After insults and threats, Obradovic was punched hard and knocked to the ground by the husband of the advisor to the Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government. The ‘Ne Davimo Beograd’ and the ‘Moramo’ coalition strongly condemn the attack on the candidate for MP Rade Obradovic and warn that this type of violence, which the criminal regime is carrying out against political dissidents, is unacceptable,“ the statement reads.
The attack was reported to the police, and Obradovic received medical assistance in the Emergency Medical Service in Kula, from where he was sent to the Emergency ward of the General Hospital in Vrbas, where he was found to have injuries, swelling on his face and cuts, the statement said.
