Serbian Defense Ministry says arms and military equipment exports suspended
The Serbian Defense Ministry said it is suspending all exports of weapons and military equipment manufactured in Serbia, following directives from President Aleksandar Vucic, who serves as the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) and Chairman of the Council for National Security.
The ministry further said that future exports of weapons and military equipment from Serbia’s defense industry will require approval from the Council for National Security, in addition to clearances from other relevant ministries and agencies, as stipulated in Article 16, paragraph 4 of the Law on the Export and Import of Weapons and Military Equipment.
