Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic accused KFOR of allowing “Albanian police to kill Serbs”.

The Defense Minister told the Serbian state TV (RTS) that the NATO-led force had to react first and prevent bloodshed and called EULEX to investigate. “KFOR has a base near there and could have reacted. They seem to have stood aside and allowed the well-deployed Albanian police to continue hunting Serbs in the Banjska area,” Vucevic said.

“We expect KFOR to take on a more active role, not be an observer on the hill watching Albanian police killing Serbs,” the minister said.

According to Vucevic, the key issue is “who allowed the Albanian police from the south to come to the north of Kosovo in violation of the Brussels Agreement”. “Serbia condemned the killing of the Kosovo Police officer but what happened later was terrible. Serbs were hunted like beasts in the woods. You can see that someone prepared this well when you look at the videos that were released in succession… It all requires an investigation,” he said.

“Someone is obviously letting (Kosovo Prime Minister) Albin Kurti build bases in the north, so that heavily armed police can go there,” he told the Serbian state TV (RTS).
