A ministry press release said that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s accusation that the Serbian military was involved in what he claimed was “the kidnapping of three Kosovo Police personnel” continues the campaign of lies, manipulation and violence against Serbs.
“The Army of Serbia’s mission is control of the Ground Safety Zone and security of the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija fully in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1244. The Army of Serbia cooperates closely with other Republic of Serbia security forces and KFOR,” it said.
The Defense Ministry recalled that the 1999 Military-Technical Agreement regulates the activities of KFOR and Serbian security forces on both sides of the administrative line and does not recognize any other forces “which means that the presence of other armed persons or formations is not permitted near the administrative line”.
