A member of the Serbian government’s pandemic crisis response team said on Friday that the National Immunization Body had not looked into the possibility of a third dose of coronavirus vaccine.
Dr Tanja Jovanic, a virus expert, told Danas daily that the crisis response team had not discussed a third dose “primarily because the mass immunization effort is not over”. She said that vaccination is “the ultimate priority”, adding that a third dose would be discussed at some point.
The doctor said that consideration is also being given to the possibility of seasonal vaccination against COVID-19 because of the new strains.
