Serbian Finance Minister said on Wednesday that Serbia and the Republika Srpska have invested 800 million Euro in joint projects.

Mali told a conference on investment potentials in the Republika Srpska (RS – the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina) that the projects are important in terms of living standards and regional competitiveness. “Serbia’s priorities include investments in road, rail and other infrastructure to develop the economy,” he said and added that the projects include hydropower plants, investments in Trebinje airport and the Belgrade-Sarajevo highway.

The minister said that Serbia is the RS most important foreign trade partner. He said that the Serbian authorities are planning to implement the same model of fiscalization in Serbia and have the Serbian Post Office Bank take over the operations of the NLB bank in the RS to strengthen the financial market.
