Serbian Gendarmerie troopers donate money to fight pandemic

Serbian Gendarmerie troopers donated almost 1.7 million Dinars to help the government combat the coronavirus pandemic, the government said in a press release on Tuesday.

It said that troopers donated a total of 1,689,200 Dinars, adding that Prime Minister Ana Brnabic sent them a message of gratitude for the donation. Brnabic said that they showed “great heart, solidarity and empathy”. “What you have done is an act of true patriotism, which you have already shown countless times in crisis situations, and the Republic of Serbia is proud to have you,” she is quoted as saying.
