The Serbian government denied claims by the Anonymous hacker group that it had gained access to dozens of classified government documents.
Anonymous said on one of its Twitter accounts that dozens of documents were leaked.
A press release form the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications said that “all public administration data is protected and no confidential government document has been revealed”. “The disturbing statements on social networks are intended to scare the public and are an element of the special war being waged against our country,” it said.
It added that all important state data is kept in state data centers in Belgrade and Kragujevac under the highest security standards. “Experts at the Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP), Security Information Agency (BIA), IT and Electronic Administration Office and the Serbian Military are monitoring all activities in coordination,” it added.
