Serbian government extends food price freeze

The prices of sugar, some types of flour, milk, pork and cooking oil were frozen for a 90 day period at the level they were at on November 15, 2021.

A press release said that the decision was taken to protect the market and “prevent the spread of misinformation in the pricing of those goods which are of great importance especially to the poor”.

The government decree limits production prices and retail and wholesale prices, the press release said.
