The Serbian Government authorized Mining and Energy Minister Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic to sign a special collective agreement for the Joint Stock Company Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS – Serbian power company), said the Serbian Government.

The agreement will be signed Monday between the minister and the EPS workers’ union.

A government press release said the new collective agreement enhances employee rights.

A notable benefit of the agreement is the reinstatement of the Solidarity Fund, which offers support to employees for medical treatment, it said.

The government announced that a five-member commission will be established, comprising representatives from the government, the employer, and the union.
