The head of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo Petar Petkovic has been denied permission to visit Kosovo, a press release said on Friday.
It said that this is the third time that “the authorities of the temporary institutions in Pristina” have denied him permission to enter Kosovo. It recalled that Petkovic is the head of Belgrade’s technical delegation to the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and that the dialogue is due to continue in Brussels next week “which shows that Pristina is not prepared to normalize relations with Belgrade”.
The press release said that Petkovic was also banned from taking aid to families hit by flooding earlier this year and visiting an injured Serb boy in the town of Gracanica.
“This is a flagrant violation of the agreement on freedom of movement and visits by officials,” it said. Petkovic planned to visit several companies and impoverished families.
