Serbian Government raises minimum wage for 2024
The Serbian Government adopted a Decision on the minimum wage for the period January-December 2024, under which the minimum wage, excluding taxes and mandatory social security contributions, will be increased to 271 dinars per working hour (1 euro – 117 dinars).
This means that, instead of the current 230 dinars, the minimum wage will amount to 271 dinars per hour, which is an increase of 17.8 percent, said the Serbian Government in a press release issued after the meeting.
After this record increase, the minimum monthly wage will stand at 47,154 dinars, or an average of 401 euros per month. This is significantly above the expected average inflation of 4.9 percent in 2024, and will help bring the minimum wage closer to the minimum consumer basket, said the Serbian Government.
