The Serbian Government adopted Wednesday a decision on the minimum wage for the January-December 2023 period, increasing the minimum wage by 14.3 percent as of January 1, 2023.

The minimum wage per hour is increased from 201.22 Dinar (1 Euro – 118 Dinar) to 230 Dinar, which means that the average minimum salary in 2023 will be 40,020 Dinar per month, said a Government press release.

“This is a record increase in the minimum wage,” said the Government, adding that it will exceed 40,000 Dinar for the first time.

It is especially important that the minimum wage increased more than inflation in real terms, “in order to preserve, but also improve, the quality of life of Serbian citizens,” said the press release.
