“The minimum hourly wage, not including taxes and mandatory social security dues, for the January–December 2027 period is €3.45 net,” the government’s decision says. That minimum was 3.16 Euro this year.

Representatives of employers and unions failed to reach agreement on the minimum wage at meetings of the Socio-Economic Council with unions demanding 650 Euro as the minimum and employers saying they would not go higher than 600 Euro.

According to a Serbian Employers’s Union official, a poll of the organization’s members showed that 46 percent of them do not want the minimum wage increased from this year’s 550 Euro.

The government also proposed increasing the pre-tax income from €292 to €318.
