The move involves forming an operational team comprising senior state officials tasked with fast-tracking the implementation of EU-mandated reforms. The body will provide strategic guidelines, political coordination, and resolve issues of particular importance to progress in the accession negotiations, the government said in a press release.
The team is intended to serve as a link between senior political leadership and frontline negotiators, and will contribute to harmonized action across all relevant institutions.
The Ministry of European Integration will continue to handle matters of technical, organizational, and administrative coordination, as well as ensure coordinated work among all participants in the negotiation process, the press release added.
