Serbian government wants non-partisan CEO for Srbijagas

The Serbian government has invited applications for the CEO of the Srbijagas company, setting the condition that the successful candidate can’t be a member of any political party.

The post is held now by Dusan Bajatovic, a senior official of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) which is part of the ruling coalition, as past of a power sharing agreement. Bajatovic has been at odds with Mining and Energy Minister Zorana Mihajlovic for months.

The advertisement in the pro-government Politika daily said that the term in office for the national natural gas supply company is four years with the successful candidate having at least three years of experience in state companies.
