The majority of central heating plants in Serbia have requested higher prices, Danas daily was told by the CEO of the heating plants’ association.

Toplane Srbije Association chief Dejan Stojanovic said that just 13 of the country’s 60 providers of central heating want to charge higher prices.

The daily said that 14 local administrations have decided to raise central heating prices. It said that prices have been raised by as much as 35 percent.

Central heating is charged with all other communal services and is paid year round, not just during the heating season.
