Djedovic Handanovic discussed fuel and power supply issues with Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister Peter Szijjarto, a press release said and quoted her as saying that the gas reserves stored in Hungary and in Serbia total 680 million cubic meters.
The two ministers also discussed Bulgaria’s decision to introduce duties on Russian gas transported through its pipelines. “Djedovic Handanovic assessed that such a move would be extremely unfavourable for both Serbia and Hungary, but also for some other countries in the region and the European Union,” and added that talks are underway about measures that can be taken to protect Serbia.
Szijjarto is quoted as saying that Bulgaria made decisions that threaten the security of gas supply to North Macedonia, Serbia and Hungary, which, he said, is unacceptable.
