A Serbian investigative network received death threat for reporting that a senior police officer ordered a recording destroyed.
The Crime and Corruption Investigative Network (KRIK) said that a death threat was made on its Twitter account following a report of a senior police officer ordering subordinates to destroy a recording of the late father of then Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic. The threat came from a man identifying himself as Djordje Pavlovic who wrote that he would set fire to everything and kill them all.
KRIK deputy Editor in Chief Bojana Jovanovic told the SafeJournalists Network that she thinks the threat was made over a report published on Wednesday that the Serbian President’s son Danilo Vucic is managing football player Dusan Vlahovic despite the fact that the threat was a comment on another report. She recalled that pro-regime tabloids claimed that the report was an attack on President Aleksandar Vucic and his family.
