Serbian math team wins in China

The six mathematicians competed at the International Mathematics Summer Camp 2024 organized under the auspices of the Beijing Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Application from June 15 to July 4 for students under the age of 19.

They won one first prize, 3 second prizes and two third prizes in the competition which featured 229 students in 38 teams from 30 countries. The Serbian team also placed third overall.

The IMSC Serbia team said that the Serbian students were the highest-placed non-Chinese team. The Serbian team was chosen in competitions organized by the Serbian Mathematics Society with the support of the Education Ministry.
