The Assembly of the Serbian Medical Society (SLD) supported Thursday the demands of students from all four university schools of medicine in Serbia.
The students received backing from 75 assembly members, while one member abstained, N1 has learned.
On Thursday morning, medical students from the University of Belgrade gathered outside the Serbian Medical Society building, where the assembly convened to vote on whether to support the student demands.
The students said they came to express support for the SLD members, as well as to ask for their support.
They addressed the assembly with an open letter signed by medical students from all four medical schools in Serbia.
