Serbian military chief in Ohio

Serbian Chief of Staff General Milan Mojsilovic started a visit to the United States at a meeting with Ohio National Guard Adjutant General Major General John Harris, the Defense Ministry said in a press release.

The press release said Mojsilovic is in Ohio at the invitation of Harris and added that he will meet with senior Ohio National Guard personnel, state officials and officials of the US Defense Department. It said that Mojsilovic had a trilateral meeting with Harris and Hungarian Defense Forces chief Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, adding that they discussed global and regional security and cooperation.

“Satisfaction was expressed with the scope and results of cooperation within the State Partnership Program of Serbia and Ohio, not only in the military to military field, but also in civil-military and civil to civil cooperation, and it was agreed to continue with the implementation of joint activities, primarily in the field of training, NCO Corps development and cyber defense,” the press release said.

Mojsilovic will speak about the challenges facing the Serbian military at a Joint Senior Leadership Conference organized by the Ohio National Guard.
