The major and two lieutenants were presented JSAMs for achievements at US military courses. The Beta news agency said that JSAM medas are rarely presented to non-US military personnel.

Ambassador Christopher Hill said that the JSAM medals were the first to be awarded in Europe and added that the three Serbian officers were among the best at their courses.
