The head of the Serbian Parliament’s Education Committee refused on Monday to allow a discussion of the mass killing at the Vladislav Ribnikar school in Belgrade.
Committee chair Marko Atlagic MP (Serbian Progressive Party – SNS) said that the agenda can’t be expanded because the committee resumed its meeting of May 3 which was interrupted because of the school shooting in Belgrade. He also did not allow a discussion of Education Minister Branko Ruzic’s resignation.
“We won’t analyze the case because there is no need and we have to get the elements from reports by competent bodies,” he said. According to Atlagic, the committee will discuss the mass killings in a Belgrade elementary school and will come up with advisory measures to send to ministries.
