Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Thursday that mandatory vaccination for health care staff would bring other problems and a possible law suit before the European Court of Human Rights.
Speaking at the opening of a COVID hospital in Novi Sad, Brnabic said that mandatory vaccination would mean the 20 percent of the health care system staff would be laid off because they don’t want to get vaccinated for one reason or another.
She said that she does not want to impose anything this obvious on doctors. “I believe that health care staff believe in science and will lead the vaccination effort,” she said and added that the pandemic response team would discuss the issue at its next meeting.
