Serbian police place illegal migrants into refugee centers

An Internal Affairs Ministry press release said that the police would conduct similar operations regularly in the future.

The press release said that the police set up checkpoints at the refugee centers in Obrenovac and the Belgrade suburb of Krnjaca. “Police personnel are securing the personal property of the local citizens and the migrants in the refugee center whose legal and human rights will be ensured along with health care, food and adequate housing,” it said.
