Serbian power company raises prices for households

Electricity prices for households will be raised more than 9 percent as of November 1, the Serbian national power company (EPS) said on Wednesday.

According to the new price list, power prices will be 9.28 percent higher for households under a decision by the EPS Shareholders Assembly of September 26 which was given approval by the Energy Agency on September 28.
Households also face 10 percent higher natural gas prices.
Under an arrangement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Serbian authorities have to raise electricity and gas prices again on May 1, 2024 8 percent and 10 percent respectively.
