Serbian power company reports millions in profits

The six-month financial report was adopted by the EPS Assembly which was told by Mining and Energy Minister Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic that the financial result is very important at a time when electricity prices dropped significantly for commercial consumers. The minister said the electricity producer would continue cutting operating costs coupled with more investment projected to upgrade coal and power production.

She accused “inexpert and ill-intentioned people” of persistently speaking about losses in the energy trade adding that EPS reported profits of 23 million Euro in free market trade this year.
