Among the recipients were Vladan Petrov, professor at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade; Patrik Drid, dean of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Novi Sad; and the Serbian Water Polo Federation.
Other honorees included renowned violinist Jovan Kolundzija, Informer TV journalist Branka Lazic, Zdravko Ranisavljevic, director of the national folk ensemble “Kolo,” and Radovan Viskovic, Prime Minister of Republika Srpska.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the Palace of Serbia, Vucic emphasised that the awards were given to those who have demonstrated a willingness to help Serbia and have contributed to its progress in various ways.
“Many want to take something from their country. There are those who want Serbia to grow, and those who want it to stall; those who wish for its success and those whose only dream is its failure of every kind,” Vucic said. “For me, this Vidovdan is special, it's a beautiful day. Our people have always said: everything becomes clearest on Vidovdan.”
