A video posted on the X network showed Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic exiting an aircraft with the Serbian coat of arms on what the author said in one of Moscow’s airports.
The Serbian government Embraer business jet landed in the Russian capital after taking off from Baku airport where it was diverted because of combat operations in Ukraine, the pro-regime Tanjug news agency said. Vucic was denied overflight by the Latvian authorities, N1 was told by that country’s Foreign Ministry which added that it cannot issue diplomatic flight permits for aircraft bringing officials to the “grotesque Russian war propaganda show” on Red Square on May 9.
Vucic is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, the day of the WW 2 Victory Parade.
