Sapic also stated that SNS will go to the new elections in the capital with the widest possible front.

„We will see who will be there. We believed that a responsible organization should raise the bar of legitimacy and credibility and show that politics is not mathematics,“ he said.

Previously, the President of Serbia and until recently the leader of the progressives, Aleksandar Vucic, called on the party leadership to go to new elections in Belgrade.

The deadline for the constitution of the Belgrade City Assembly expires on Monday, March 4, and the formation of the government in the city depended on the biggest surprise of the elections in Serbia, the right-wing movement „Mi – glas iz naroda“ which refused to support SNS, but also the pro-European opposition.

The pro-European coalition „Serbia against violence“ has been advocating for a repeat of the elections in the capital, since the day they were held. Namely, previously, the opposition presented numerous doubts and evidence indicating serious electoral irregularities – including manipulations with the voter list and organized migration of voters from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s entities of Republika Srpska and the interior of Serbia, to Belgrade.
Allegations of election irregularities were also found in the resolution of the European Parliament on the elections in Serbia, and in the ODIHR report.

Dobrica Veselinović, the „Serbia against violence” candidate, said that the decision to repeat the elections in Belgrade was a victory for the controllers, the citizens who filmed and photographed the frauds, observers, civil society, members of the state and city election commissions, and the entire opposition.
