The KRIK investigative portal said that Putevi Srbije roads company CEO Zoran Drobnjak has an account at the Credit Suisse bank which was opened in April 2007. It said that he was named to head the roads company in mid-2008 and that he had more than half a million Francs in the account at the time. KRIK’s report was part of the Swiss Secrets project.

Under Serbian law, Serbian nationals are not allowed to have bank accounts abroad unless they receive permission from the National Bank of Serbia (NBS). The NBS told KRIK that it did not know about Drobnjak’s bank account.

Leaked bank data showed that Drobnjak allows businessman Radovan Marinkovic (owner of the Centrolek and Minnex Trading Corporation companies) access to the account.

KRIK said that Drobnjak allegedly did not report the money to the Anti-Corruption Agency as late as 2011. The portal said that it did not find out where the money came from.

Drobnjak refused a KRIK request for comments.
