Serbian statistics office says inflation 9.1 percent

The Serbian Republic Statistics Office (RZS) said on Tuesday that y.o.y. inflation in March stood at 9.1 percent.

It said that monthly inflation in March stood at 0.8 percent and that the consumer prices used to determine the level of inflation were 2.8 percent higher than in December 2021.

The RZS said that the prices of household appliances and maintenance rose by 1.7 percent, transport by 1.5 percent, food and non-alcoholic beverages, restaurants and hotels by 1.1 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuels and health care by 0.9 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0.3 percent and communications by 0.1 percent.

It said that the prices of recreation and culture dropped by 0.9 percent and clothing and footwear by 0.2 percent.
