Serbian students resumed their cycling journey to Strasbourg, with Gyor as their destination on Sunday before heading toward Vienna.

The Budapest-to-Gyor segment of the trip covers 134 kilometers. As they ride through towns and villages, local residents cheer them on, shouting words of encouragement and honking their car horns in support.

On Saturday, the students arrived in Budapest, where they were welcomed at Heroes' Square. In addition to Serbian expatriates living in the city, the Mayor of Budapest, Gergely Karácsony, greeted them.

A total of 80 students from Serbia are cycling to Strasbourg, passing through Subotica, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Munich, Augsburg, Ulm, and Stuttgart.

Their goal is to draw the European Union’s attention to their months-long protests against corruption in Serbia, a Balkan nation seeking EU membership. They are expected to arrive in Strasbourg on April 17.
