Serbian teachers’ unions call for strike over pay

Union spokespeople told reporters at a news conference in front of the Serbian government headquarters that they are disappointed that the government failed to raise basic teachers’ salaries to the level of the average salary in the country. The promise was made under a protocol signed in 2023.

The union spokespeople said they would call teachers to react fiercely when the budget is adopted.
