The Serbian woman who was injured Sunday in the Istanbul explosion underwent surgery and is stable, said the Consul General of Serbia to Turkey, Ivana Pejovic, Srna reported.

At least six people were killed and dozens injured on Sunday afternoon in an explosion in downtown Istanbul.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said the injured Serbian tourist, Dragana Ristic from the southern city of Nis, underwent surgery, that she needs to stay in the hospital and that the Ministry will help her as much as it can because medical costs also need to be covered.

The group of Serbian tourists from Nis “was lucky,” Dacic told Happy TV.

Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said that the police arrested a suspect who authorities believe placed the bomb that exploded in Istanbul on Sunday.
