The Novi Sad-based portal said that the Serbian diaspora will be joining the students who are planning to stage a mass gathering in the city in memory of the 16 people who lost their lives when a concrete canopy collapsed at the newly-reconstructed railway station.
“We will be joining the students from 11 am to 12:30 pm to mark the day in the same way across the world with 16 Minutes of Silence at 11:52 (the moment when the canopy collapsed) in memory of the lives lost and in the conviction that the common battle for accountability won’t be in vain. That will show that, wherever we live, the same message connects us: that we won’t forget and will continue to fight together,” a press release by the Assembly in Diaspora said.
