Serbia's Government formed on Thursday a "Coordination Body for the implementation of the operational plan for the prevention of corruption in areas of special risk."

Its statement did not specify those „areas of special risk.“

The goal was, it added, to link the implementation of anti-corruption measures at the highest political level with the top managements’ political and institutional responsibility.

The Government also adopted the Decree on the market premium and „Feed-in“ tariff to strengthen energy security, empower the sustainability of the energy system and preserve the environment, thus meeting its commitment to the Sofia Declaration on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans.

The statement added Serbia would open an embassy in Bahrain and a consulate in Zimbabwe.

It is also reported that North Macedonia will open its consulate in Serbia.

International reports on Serbia have warned about a high level of corruption in the country which is a candidate for the European Union membership.
