Dragan Markovic aka Palma, the leader of the United Serbia party and a ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) coalition partner, called on his compatriots not to spend summer holidays in Albania.
He said he could not understand how someone could go to the country which "instigated everything Kosovo Albanians did to the Serbs."
"I can't comprehend someone saying - 'I have a nice time in Albania.'
"We must not sell the Golgotha we experienced in both the First and Second World Wars and in the last events in Kosovo, when horrific crimes were committed against Serbs and when all Serbs were expelled thanks to Albania, for five percent cheaper Coca-Cola compared to other destinations," Markovic said.
Markovic is under suspicion of pimping in his home town of Jagodina in central Serbia, where he heads the local authorities. He is also known as a promoter of tourism in Greece and takes Jagodina people regularly to Halkidiki at the expense of the town's budget.
